STATEMENT OF AUTHORITY

UNIVERSALSEMINARY is open to all who tread a spiritual path seeking to know God.  Most students study at home under the supervision of one or more advisors.  Financial assistance is available if and when needed.  Graduates of the Universal Seminary seeking ordination or consecration should make their wishes known to any professor at the Seminary.  

UNIVERSAL SEMINARY is a Colorado nonprofit corporation organized under the Colorado statutes regulating nonprofit corporations.  The corporation is in good standing with the Colorado  Secretary of State, Department of State, Corporations Division, 1560 Broadway, Suite 200, Denver, Colorado 80202, whose responsibility it is to regulate Colorado corporations.

UNIVERSAL SEMINARY is authorized by the Department of Higher Education, Colorado Commission on Higher Education, 1300 Broadway, Second Floor, Denver, Colorado 80203, to operate a postsecondary religious institution and confer postsecondary religious degrees.

UNIVERSAL SEMINARY is accredited by the Universal Gnostic Church, Church of Alexandria,  The Church of Universal Enlightenment and the House of Independent Bishops.  This accreditation authorizes the Seminary to confer post secondary degrees in Comparative Religions, Divinity, Esoteric Spirituality, Ministry, Religious Studies, Sacred Literature, Spiritual Coaching and Theology at the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate levels. 

UNIVERSAL SEMINARY is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(a) and 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Donors to Universal Seminary may deduct contributions as provided in section 170 of the Code only to the extent that their contributions are gifts, with no consideration received.  Tuition and other fees are not gifts.  Contributions to the Seminary which help sustain its existence are tax deductible under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Universal Seminary will issue a receipt for all contributions, which receipt may be referenced by or appended to your Income Tax Return and may be used as proof of tax deductible contribution.
